In a recent article Pal et al. (2020), an arbitrary time convergence controller design method is proposed for a nth order nonlinear system (n1). Although the analysis of the Lyapunov characterization for free-will arbitrary time stable systems (Pal et al. (2020)[Thm. 1]) and the controller design for first order system are correct, the validity of the further extensions to second and higher-order systems is questionable.
