Results are provided for studies of self-sintering refractory mix preparation. New technology is proposed for their manufacture. The basis of the mixes obtained is barite-containing components (barite or witherite concentrates). Good chemical resistance, refractoriness, mechanical strength, hardness and wear resistance determine the scope of their application, i.e., manufacture of refractory products, linings, pastes, and concrete.
