Abstract This study estimated the dietary exposures to BPA, BPF and BPS from canned foods and beverages in China. A total of 151 canned product samples were collected from the supermarkets in major Chinese cities, and the substances in the product were measured and analyzed. The detection rates of BPA, BPF and BPS in canned product samples were 92.1%, 45.0% and 49.5%, respectively, and the concentrations of BPA, BPF and BPS ranged from ND to 837 μg/kg, ND to75.4 μg/kg and ND to 1.6 μg/kg, respectively. The average exposure to BPA, BPF and BPS from canned products for Chinese consumers was estimated at 32.9, 5.1 and 0.2 ng/kg bw/day, respectively; while dietary exposure (including canned and non-canned foods) of BPA, BPF and BPS was 55.2, 12.0 and 5.4 ng/kg bw/day, respectively. Overall, canned products contributed significantly for BPA and BPF exposure to children and adult in China.
