Abstract We prove gradient bounds for solutions of a class of boundary value problems related to the capillary problem, using the maximum principle. Our results extend those of the author and those of Ma and Xu. In addition to the capillary boundary condition, we can prove results for the general boundary condition for any choice of the parameter (The range is not handled by any previous results.)
