Effectiveness of Using Needle-Punched Nonwoven Fabrics for Removing Diesel Fuel from Water Surface

The effectiveness of using a needle-punched nonwoven fabric for removing diesel fuel from the surface of the water is investigated. The degree of purification depends on the initial content of fuel in water. A model has been developed for predicting fabric consumption depending on the initial fuel content in the water and the required degree of purification. The sorption capacity of the fabric depends on the initial content or film thickness of the hydrocarbon on the surface of the water. A mechanism is proposed for describing the flow transfer of the complex composition in the fabric.
