Hydrogen flames spread through fractal-like patterns

Propagating hydrogen flames can spread efficiently to access new fuel by breaking into fractal-like patterns. That is according to researchers in Spain and Germany who say their results could provide important new information in designing storage cells for hydrogen fuel ( Phys. Rev. Lett. 124 174501).
