Background:Klebsiella pneumoniae is currently considered as an immediate threat to human health due to its various multidrug efflux pumps. Microbially synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are an attractive and eco-friendly approach to prevent antibiotic resistance in bacteria. In the present study, we compared the inhibitory effect of both commercial and green AgNPs by Bifidobacterium bifidum on OxqAB efflux pump genes in ciprofloxacin-resistant strains of K. pneumoniae.
