Two errors occurred in some of the written equations of Li and van Zijl.1

1) a plus sign was used instead of a minus sign in three equations. Below are the corrected equations, which are describing the analytical solution of the Bloch equation for the general form of the τ _cp dependence of R₂ on exchange for:

• exchangeable protons in protein solution, Equation (1a),
• between erythrocytes and plasma, Equation (15a),
• between free and bound protons in general, Appendix, Equation (A2a).

The corrected equations are:

2) A square notation was missing on the exchange time term in both Equation (27c) and (27d). The corrected equations are below

These errors did not affect any of the results in the paper as the mathlab code to perform all calculations had the correct signs and squares in these equations.
