New Weevils of the Genus Pseudalophus Suvorov, 1915 (Coleoptera, Curculionidae: Entiminae) from the Sino-Tibetan Mountains

Abstract

Lectotype of Alophusmarginatus Faust, 1887 is designated. Trichalophuscaudiculatus Fairmaire, 1886 and T. compressicauda Fairmaire, 1887 are transferred to the genus Pseudalophus Suvorov, 1915, where new combinations are formed: Pseudalophus caudiculatus (Fairmaire, 1886), comb. n., and Pseudalophus compressicauda (Fairmaire, 1887), comb. n. New taxa Pseudalophusangulatussp. n.,Ps. brevirostrissp. n.,Ps. korolevisp. n.,Ps. muliensissp. n.,Ps. muliensis meridionalissubsp. n., and Ps. scylloidessp. n. are described from the Sino-Tibetan (Hengduan) Mountains in China. A species closely related to Potentillapeduncularis David Don, 1825 is reported as a host plant of Ps. sp. pr. caudiculatus.
