ABSTRACT Aenasius bambawalei is one of the most important parasitoids attacking Phenacoccus solenopsis. Studies were conducted to measure and compare its developmental rate, and parasitism using A. bambawalei feeding on 4 species of Malvaceae. Maximum parasitism and shortest developmental rate were measured on Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. Implications of our results for rearing this parasitoid are discussed.
