Four anhydrogabosines, (+)‐epoxydon, (–)‐phyllostine, (–)‐RKTS 33, and (–)‐parasitenone, are synthesized from δ‐d‐gluconolactone by two new approaches, which both feature selective sulfonylation and oxirane ring closure on the polyoxygenated aldol cyclization products.
