Predicting the Drawing Force for Cylindrical Blanks with Modified Surface Layer

Abstract A refined mathematical model is developed for the prediction and analysis of the drawing force applied to nonhollow cylindrical blanks with a modified surface layer in machining by a tool with regular surface microrelief when innovative metal-cladding lubricants are employed and frictional wear is eliminated by the Garkunov–Kragel’skii effect.
