Abstract

The northernmost representative of the genus Gregoryceras, G. boreale Mitta et Stupachenko, sp. nov., is described based on a holotype from the Mikhalenino section on the Unzha River (Kostroma Region). The new species comes from the lower part of the Tenuiserratum Zone (Zenaidae subzone), comparable to the tops of the Plicatilis Zone (Arkelli Subzone) of the Middle Oxfordian sub-Mediterranean scales.
