Numerical Analysis of Relaxation Process with Fast Particle Generation in Malmberg-Penning Trap Experiment for Ion Beam Inertial Fusion

To clarify a regeneration process of fast electrons in a Malmberg-Penning trap device, a numerical simulation was carried out using a multi-particle tracking code. The numerical simulations reproduced the fast particle regeneration by the rapid relaxation process observed in the experiment. In comparison with the experimental and the numerical results, it was considered that the rapid relaxation process was caused by the Coulomb interaction between the electrons.
