To the Editor: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) causes severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV‑2), which is now a global pandemic and a public threat. COVID-19 virus utilizes the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor, abundant in the lower respiratory tract for cellular entry.1 Recently the editorial in your journal has mentioned a very pertinent point in the management of COVID-19 patients.1 We would like to discuss some updates regarding the topic in this letter.
