This issue of New Methods and Approaches in Decision and Control of Intelligent and Cyber Systems contains a collection of extended versions of best presented papers in CoDIT 2019 conference and additional papers submitted to the special issue of “Cybernetics and Systems” journal. The goal is to present recent research works in decision and control engineering with applications in Intelligent and Cyber Systems. CoDIT 2019 Conference was organized in the CNAM of Paris with technical sponsorship of different IEEE entities and universities in France. CoDIT 2019 Program Committee received around 592 papers from 77 countries worldwide that yielded 323 accepted papers. The acceptance rate for this conference was around 54%. The authors from all continents presented their original work, in all areas of Control, Optimization, Decision, Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technologies. Based on recommendation of program co-chairs and sessions chairs, several authors of excellent conference papers were contacted by the guest editors to submit extended versions for this special issue. We appreciate the recommendations of the CoDIT’19 Program Committee members for the selection of suitable conference papers for the special issue. The 66 submitted papers for the special Issue had to undergo strict peer-review process managed by the Guest Editors. We especially want to acknowledge all the authors for their efforts in updating their contributions and submitting high-quality articles. Guest Editors gratefully acknowledge the assistance and support of anonymous referees who reviewed the manuscripts of the papers included in this special issue. After a thorough reviewing procedure, with the help of external experts, 12 papers were selected. The first paper of the issue, titled ‘‘From trajectory tracking control to leader-follower formation control,’’ is authored by Khadir Lakhdar Besseghieur, Radosław TreRbi nski, Wojciech Kaczmarek, and Jarosław Panasiuk from Poland. Authors solve the leader-follower formation control problem byconverting it into a trajectory tracking problem. A tracking controller is selected and an adaptive dynamic controller is proposed to drive the robots. Experiments are conducted with a group of (Robot Operating System) ROS-enabled mobile robots.
