A novel mechanism is identified by James N. Grima‐Cornish, Liana Vella‐Żarb, and Joseph N. Grima in article number 1900550. It is found to lead to negative linear compressibility (NLC) in boron arsenate, which arises from deformations in the framework tetrahedra rather than tetrahedral rotations. It is hypothesized that the generic mechanisms identified will also apppear in materials and metamaterials with similar characteristics.
