In the article, “A Review of the Alleged Health Hazards of Monosodium Glutamate,” by Anca Zanfirescu, Anca Ungurianu, Aristides M. Tsatsakis, George M. Nițulescu, Demetrios Kouretas, Aris Veskoukis, Dimitrios Tsoukalas, Ayse B. Engin, Michael Aschner, and Denisa Margină (Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, 2019 , Vol. 18, No. 4, pp, 1111–1134, doi: https://doi.org/10.1111/1541-4337.12448), on page 1127, In the 3rd paragraph on page 17 of the article, the references for (Vellisca & Latorre, 2013) and for (Holton, Taren, Thomson, Bennett, & Jones, 2012) were reversed.

The paragraph should read,

“MSG administration may also impact patients suffering from fibromyalgia. One study reported that the administration of 5 g of MSG, over 3 consecutive days, led to a worsening of fibromyalgia severity, as determined by the revised fibromyalgia impact questionnaire, and a nonsignificant trend toward worsening fibromyalgia pain, as based on a visual analog scale (Holton, Taren, Thomson, Bennett, & Jones, 2012). However, the administration of MSG and aspartame‐free meals, did not improve symptoms of fibromyalgia in a trial enrolling 72 female patients suffering from this disease (Vellisca & Latorre, 2013). The results of the above‐mentioned studies suggest a plausible link between MSG use and pain‐associated conditions.”
