As I write this the COVID-19 corona virus in now a pandemic. Containing the virus is no longer possible and mitigation is now the plan. Some counties have been effective in containment and reducing how much the disease spreads while others have ignored the warnings and reduced their capability to respond to this crisis. Ignoring the problem by not testing does not change the progress of the disease. And unfortunately, there is fake advice circulating on social media about what to do. It is beyond my understanding why people think they should create false narratives and mislead people. Be safe, wash your hands, avoid crowds. Follow the advice the health care officials provide in your area. Neil deGrasse Tyson’s quote which I used in the last issue applies to this crisis too.
