Along with medical providers across the world, we have watched the spread of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV2 with deep concern. While much has been learned through the work of scientists and physicians on the front lines of the pandemic, there remain many unknowns. We are beginning to elucidate the underlying vulnerabilities that portend a worse clinical course, such as age and cardiovascular comorbidities, but we do not yet know the extent to which cancer is an independent poor prognostic indicator. Neurologic manifestations may be a significant feature of the disease. To provide a framework for approaching COVID-19 from a neuro-oncology perspective, we have collated several recent reports.
