Facile preparation of Co6W6C/W@NC electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction using transition metal substituted polyoxometalates as precursor

Abstract A unique strategy to synthesize bimetallic carbides-containing composites (BCCs) under mild condition is established by utilizing transition metal substituted polyoxometalates (TMSPs) as precursor. Different species of TM ions well mixed in atomic level in TMSPs render facile preparation of BCCs with multi-interfacial structure, benefiting their remarkable electrocatalytic performance towards hydrogen evolution reaction in KOH.
