A new three sensing channels platform of Eu@Zn-MOF for quantitative detection of Cr(III)

Abstract A Zinc metal–organic framework (MOF) is prepared and as a host to incorporated with Eu3+ ions (2,6-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is used as the ligand) by a solvothermal method and post-synthetic modification method (PSM). The obtained luminescent material Eu(3 + )@Zn-NDC is characterized by XRD, IR, TGA and SEM. Eu(3+)@Zn-NDC show three sensing channels for Cr3+, three good linearities exist ranging from 1 × 10−3 to 7.5 × 10−5 mol/L. The results show that the Eu(3+)@Zn-NDC exhibits selective, sensitive and quantitative response to Cr3+ and the sensing range is broaden to meet practical application. Its sensing mechanism is discussed. This is first time that Eu(3+)@ Zn-NDC is promising three-channel sensor for Cr3+ ions.
