Cervical-uterine cancer is the fourth most common neoplasm among women in the world. It originates in the cells lining the cervix, the lower part of the uterus. Many factors conducive to the formation of carcinogenic tumors are generally known. This review focuses on cervical-uterine cancer in relation to long non-coding RNAs (LncRNA). The role played by each LncRNA has a wide range of biological processes, such as stress response, pluripotency of embryonic stem cells, and regulatory processes. Likewise said, role of the LncRNA will depend on the tissue in which they are housed. That is why the genetic interest of the LncRNA is present in cervical cancer.
