Telomere attachment to the nuclear envelope (NE) is a prerequisite for chromosome movement during meiotic prophase I and is required for pairing, synapsis, and recombination of homologous chromosomes. Over the past decade, components of the linker of the nucleoskeleton and cytoskeleton (LINC) complex, which functions as a bridge to link the chromosomes and the cytoskeleton, have been reported [1].
