Synthesizing surface modified hydroxyapatite embedded in three-dimensional graphene oxide networks for drug loading

Abstract To obtain three dimensional mesh nano-hydroxyapatite/graphene oxide composites, a surface modified hydroxyapatite (SHA) obtained by grafting with citric acid. The SHA particles were covered by GO in SHA/GO composites, and the structure of composites is three-dimensional structures. The biomimetic mineralization in SBF solution showed the bone-like apatite layer on composites surface. Aspirin was loaded onto the SHA/GO composites. The change of GO content in composites has a great influence on the adsorption performance of Aspirin.
