A new compound, penicilliumone A (1) was isolated from Penicillium sp. HT-G-8, a fungal endophyte of Tripterygium hypoglaucum. The structure of 1 was elucidated by IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectra. Monoamine oxidase (MAO), acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitory activities of 1 were also tested.
