The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn) is seeking to hire a few Postdoctoral Research Associates in Microfluidic Devices and Flexible Bioelectronics and Biosensors. Postdoc Positions
The Postdoc candidate should have the research experience or background in one of the following research areas:
Microfluidic devices
Bioelectronic devices or Biochemical sensors
Wireless electronics, circuits design, and data transmission
Start date: Fall/Winter 2022 or Spring 2023.
About Dr. Zhang
Dr. Yi Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was awarded with 2015 Waldemar T. Ziegler Award for Best Research Paper in Chemical Engineering. During his postdoctoral training in Prof. John A. Rogers group at Northwestern University, he acquired in-depth knowledge of wearable sensors and implantable neural probes. Transitioning to his tenure-track faculty position (2018-present), he has established a successful research program, as evidenced by his research productivity (20 published journal articles, including those published in Science Advances, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Nano Letters, Analytical Chemistry and ACS Sensors as corresponding authors) and research team (2 postdocs and 10 Ph.D. students).
