Ashok Santra, Innovative R&D leader with an effective combination of industry-academia experiences, problem solving, team building, people and product portfolio management, technical leadership, interpersonal skills, excellent writing and presentation skills. More than 25 years of research experiences including 17 years in oilwell drilling and cementing industry carrying out innovative research, IP capture, product development, scale-up, marketing and commercialization. PhD work was carried out under the supervision of Professor CNR Rao, FRS (IISc, Bangalore, India) in the areas of solid state materials chemistry including superconducting cuprates, metal nanoclusters and other solid state/ceramic materials. Applied strong foundation of solid-state chemistry and crystal structures/reactivity for understanding the cement chemistry at greater details. Used the knowledge of interaction (surface charges, chemisorption and/or competitive adsorption strengths) between additives, surfactants or other molecules and cement, sand, formation rocks or any other solid surfaces at the molecular/interfacial levels while developing innovative technologies.
