Michal Szostak教授简介

Michal Szostak教授2009年博士毕业于美国堪萨斯大学,之后在美国普林斯顿大学从事博士后研究(合作导师为2021年诺贝尔化学奖得主David MacMillan教授),后在英国曼彻斯特大学从事研究助理工作(合作导师为David Procter教授),现为美国罗格斯大学-纽瓦克分校化学系副教授(终身教职),研究方向包括N–C键活化,C–O键活化,C–H 键活化,配体设计,协同催化,NHC-过渡金属催化反应等。

应聘条件

(1)有机化学或金属有机化学方向的硕士毕业生优先,发表过高水平科研论文者优先。

(2)TOEFL成绩90分左右,(如无TOEFL成绩,可凭高于6.0分的雅思成绩替代)。

(3)热爱科研工作,具有团队合作精神。


读博期间,学生将会受到有机合成与金属有机化学方向的系统训练,包括微量与大量有机合成反应,惰性气体保护技术,实验条件设计与优化,仪器分析技术(NMR,GC,GC-MS,LC-MS,HPLC等),反应动力学研究方法,反应机理分析与X射线单晶衍射技术等。学生将有机会在有机化学领域TOP期刊上发表科研论文(如J. Am. Chem. Soc.,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.,Chem.,ACS Catal.,Nat. Commun.,Chem. Sci.等)。详情参见:http://szostakgroup.com/publications  。

PhD Studentship - Organic and Organometallic Chemistry

Project: NHC Ligand Development


Applications are invited for a Ph.D. studentship available to start in Spring 2022 at the Department of Chemistry at Rutgers University, Newark, USA working on Ligand Design &Transition Metal Catalysis under the supervision of Prof. Michal Szostak. 


Send your CV, together with a covering letter and contact details of three academic referees to Prof. Szostak at michal.szostak@rutgers.edu TOEFL scores are required for application. Candidates with high TOEFL (initial score around 90) will receive preference. IELTS scores (6.0 or higher) can be used instead of TOEFL. Applications from candidates with Masters degree in organic synthesis and organometallic chemistry are preferred. Please, send your application as soon as possible for full consideration. Candidates who have already published research papers will receive preference.
