The Zheng lab's research focuses on microfluidics and synthetic biology. In microfluidics, we are interested in developing microanalysis technologies using nanoliter droplets, microwells, microarrays, and etc., and in applications such as single cell analysis and organoid-on-chip. In synthetic biology, we are developing cell-free protein synthesis system and constructing hydrogel based artificial cells, and applying our works to antibody engineering, metabolic engineering, biosensors and etc.
