Recently, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) officially appointed Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand Prof. Geoffrey I. N. Waterhouse as Honorary Professor of the university. This appointment ceremony fully recognizes Prof. Waterhouse's long-standing and outstanding contributions to the fields of nanomaterials, photocatalysis, and energy chemistry.



Prof. Geoffrey I. N. Waterhouse stated that in his capacity as Honorary Professor, he will further strengthen academic exchange and cooperation with research teams at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), promote the output of more international joint research achievements, and provide academic guidance and international cooperation opportunities for young scholars. This appointment not only marks another significant achievement in the university's international exchange and cooperation initiatives but also offers a new opportunity to advance disciplinary development, foster young talent cultivation, and enhance international scientific research collaboration. Moving forward, both parties will conduct deeper cooperation in areas such as catalytic chemistry, photothermal energy conversion, and nanomaterials, jointly driving interdisciplinary innovation.
