Min Zhang, Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, Professor of Chongqing University, Vice Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Chairman of the Degree Evaluation Sub-committee of the College of Pharmacy, Director of the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Natural Product Synthesis and Innovative Pharmaceutical Research; Recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund in 2019; Received his Bachelor's degree of Pharmacy and Doctoral degree of Medicinal Chemistry from West China College of Pharmacy of Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Qin Yong in 2003 and 2009, respectively; D. degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from West China School of Pharmacy, Sichuan University in 2003 and 2009, and conducted postdoctoral research under Prof. Weiping Tang at the School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2009 to 2013; joined the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chongqing University in July 2013, and has been designing, synthesizing, and evaluating active molecules with anti-tumor, antihypertensive, and hypoglycemic activities using a combination of medicinal chemistry, synthetic biology, and chemical biology as the objects of her research. The team designs, synthesizes and evaluates compounds with anti-tumor, antihypertensive and hypoglycemic activities, develops innovative drugs and promotes the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. The team has completed the synthesis of more than 60 active natural products of more than 10 types, discovered three types of active anticancer molecules, and published natural products and medicinal chemistry research as corresponding authors in top international journals, such as Nature Chem, Nature Commun, Science Adv. He has published more than 20 papers on natural products and medicinal chemistry, and has applied for 4 patents. He has presided over one outstanding youth fund, three top-level projects, one youth fund and seven projects in Chongqing Municipality under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has been awarded the Chair Prize of the Asian Society of Advanced Organic Chemistry, the First Prize of the Ministry of Education in Natural Science, the Outstanding Communist Party Member of Chongqing Municipality, the Third Category of High-Level Talents of Chongqing Municipality, the AII Talents of Chongqing Municipality Talent Program, the First Prize of Excellent Thesis in the Sichuan-Chongqing Science and Technology Conference, the Excellent Ph.
