Our group focus on the following two applications based on supramolecular coordination complexs (SCC):

1. SCC-based synergistic chemotherapy and phototherapy for the treatment of tumors

Cancer treatment has been a major challenge in modern medicine due to the biological characteristics of tumors such as abnormal cell differentiation and proliferation, uncontrolled growth, infiltration and metastasis. It is of great importance to build a synergistic treatment platform integrating multiple imaging and therapy approaches to achieve precise cancer treatment. We focus on supramolecular ligand-driven self-assembly to build a multifunctional integrated platform, which provides a new strategy for enhancing tumor imaging and treatment, and lays the foundation for further research on the mechanism of synergistic chemotherapy-NIR light treatment of solid tumors.

2. Organic photovoltaic devices based on SCC

With the unique advantages of lightweight, flexibility, inexpensiveness and solution-processability, organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have become a powerful candidate for clean energy and have shown unlimited potential in future. High photoelectric conversion efficiency, high stability and low cost are important prerequisites for the industrialization of organic photovoltaic cells. Among them, photoelectric conversion efficiency and stability are the main bottlenecks limiting the development of organic photovoltaic devices in industry. We focus on organic photovoltaic device engineering with high performance, low cost and simple preparation process. Specifically, we have devoted efforts in exploring the structure design of organic photovoltaic device, the morphology control of photovoltaic active layer, the working mechanism of highly-efficient multi-component system, thick film and large area module green process, and device stability, etc. In previous research, we have conducted a series of exploration from above aspects and obtained the authority certification with the leading record of organic photovoltaic efficiency. In future, we are committed to promoting the industrialization of organic photovoltaic.
