Yang Zhimou is a professor at the School of Life Sciences, Nankai University, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, and chief scientist of the Major Research Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Bachelor degree in polymer Department of Nanjing University; He received his Ph. D. degree from the Department of Chemistry, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology under Professor Xu Bing. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Matthew Bogyo's research group at Stanford University School of Medicine. In March 2009, he joined the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Bioactive Materials, Nankai University full-time. He has published more than 100 SCI academic papers in the field of preparation of polypeptide hydrogels and biomedical applications, citing papers for more than 10,000 times, h factor 62.
