Prof Xiaowang Liu was born in Anhui, China. He obtained his PhD degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the National University of Singapore under the direction of Prof. Xiaogang Liu. After working as a research scientist (working with Prof. Francesco Stellacci) at the Institute of Materials, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), he started his new career at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) as a Professor. His research interests include X-ray imaging technology and flexible electronics. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal papers, and the total citation is more than 5000 times. He currently serves as deputy head of Frontiers Science Center for Flexible Electronics (FSCFE), NPU, responsible for international cooperation projects, including international student recruitment.
