The research article entitled “Facile construction of Fe3+/Fe2+ mediated charge transfer pathway in MIL-101 for effective tetracycline degradation” is published by the master degree candidate of Research group in “Journal of Cleaner Production”. The first author of the paper is Linxuan Xie, and the communication authors are Professor Wang Jianlong.

Research content: It is of great practical significance to design photocatalysts with high charge separation efficiency for the degradation and removal of tetracycline. In this study, defective photocatalysts with different valence states of metal iron ions were successfully constructed inside MIL-101 by hydrothermal and one-step reduction methods. . And in the process of degradation, the mineralization of tetracycline was successfully achieved, and it was decomposed into small molecular substances to minimize the pollution caused by it. In conclusion, this work provides ideas for designing novel photocatalysts for the treatment of tetracycline pollution in water.
