Hongsheng Wang, PI.

Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), USA, in 2020 and completed postdoctoral training at the same institution. In January 2024, he joined the Songjiang Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine as a Group Leader. He is recognized as a Shanghai High-Level Talent and has been awarded the "SJTU Star" Program grant.

His research focuses on uncovering the mechanisms of depression and developing interventions by examining brain-body interactions and the integration of interoceptive and exteroceptive sensory information.Dr. Wang serves as a peer reviewer for journals such as Cell & Bioscience and Translational Psychiatry. His first-author research findings have been published in leading scientific journals including Neuron, PNAS, Molecular Psychiatry, Nature Communications, and The Journal of Neuroscience.
