Dr. Gen Luo is currently working as a full professor at Anhui University. He received B.Sc. in 2010 from Anhui Normal University (China) and Ph.D. in 2015 from Dalian University of Technology (China) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yi Luo. During his Ph.D. studies, he served as a joint-training Ph.D. candidate at RIKEN (Japan) with Prof. Dr. Zhaomin Hou (Feb 2014-Feb 2015). In August 2016, he rejoined the group of Prof. Dr. Zhaomin Hou at RIKEN as a postdoctoral fellow. At the end of 2017, he returned to Dalian University of Technology as an associate professor and was promoted to full professor in 2019 at Anhui University. His current work is focused on gaining mechanistic understanding of homogeneous organic reactions by employing computational chemistry, especially for computational rare-earth organometallic chemistry. He has published more than 100 papers in various journals and magazines including Nature, Science, Sci. Adv., Nat. Commun., JACS, ACIE, ACS Catal., etc.
