RESEARCH INTERESTS

Professor Ping Li's current research interests focus on the optical imaging analysis of disease-related biomarkers, the exploration of molecular mechanisms for major diseases such as depression, cancer, etc. and the construction of theranostic reagents. Main innovative achievements include: (1) Developing new imaging materials and methods to capture disease-related biomarkers for the study of molecular mechanisms and early diagnosis and treatment of major diseases such as depression, cancer, etc.; (2) Based on the reversible and specific recognition reactions, achieving the real-time, in situ and highly sensitive analyzation of the dynamic flux of bioactive molecules in living cells and sub-organelles; (3) Based on two-photon, near-infrared and other functional optical imaging agents, realizing the in situ visualized analysis of bioactive molecules in vivo.

Professor Ping Li has presided and completed 1 project of the National Key Basic Research and Development Program (“973 Plan”), 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 sub-project of the National Major New Drug Creation Project, 1 project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, 1 major basic research project of Shandong Province the Natural Science Foundation and 1 key scientific and technological project of Shandong Province. She is now presiding 1 project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Up to now, Professor Ping Li has published more than 80 papers in well-known international chemical academic journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Sci., Anal. Chem., Chem. Commun., with a total citation in excess of 3,000 times.
