We, in collaboration with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, are jointly recruiting 2-3 postdoctoral researchers and 1-2 research assistants.

Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Sun Yat-sen University, both globally ranked among the top 100 universities in the Greater Bay Area, are well-known for their academic excellence. According to the agreement between both institutions, joint research will be conducted, and postdoctoral researchers/research assistants will be recruited.


[Supervisor Introduction]:


Professor Xu Binggang, Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Professor Xu Binggang is a full professor at the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he currently serves as the Chair of the Graduate Program Committee and Vice Chair of the Research Committee. Professor Xu has published over 200 book chapters, academic journal articles, and conference papers, and holds 12 authorized patents. His research focuses mainly on textile and wearable technologies, including wearable energy harvesting, energy storage, and intelligent sensing technologies. Recent research results by Professor Xu have been published in top-tier SCI journals such as Nature Communications, Matter, Advanced Materials, Materials Today, and Angewandte. Professor Xu leads a team dedicated to cutting-edge research, having published over 60 academic papers as corresponding author in high-impact SCI journals with impact factors over 15.0 and in the top 5% of SCI journals in the past five years. He was named one of the top 2% of scientists globally by a report from Stanford University. In addition, he won gold medals at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva in 2017 and 2018.

Associate Professor Jing Titao, Sun Yat-sen University

Associate Professor Jing Titao is a "Hundred Talents Program" scholar at Sun Yat-sen University. His research mainly focuses on the preparation of polymer materials and their applications in artificial muscles, electroluminescent devices, and other technologies. Since joining the faculty, he has published multiple SCI papers with impact factors greater than 10 and has received support from various projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation. His laboratory is well-equipped and in a phase of rapid development, with sufficient office/laboratory space and research funding.

[Job Qualifications and Benefits]:


Postdoctoral Researcher:


PhD degree (or expected within 3 years) in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in polymers, sensors, electroluminescent devices, etc.

Competitive salary based on Sun Yat-sen University’s relevant policies (22w-30w RMB/Y), which may be adjusted depending on the candidate's qualifications.

Support for applying to national/Guangdong province talent exchange programs, such as the Xiangjiang Scholars Program and the Guangdong Province Young Talent International Cultivation Program.


Research Assistant:

Master's or Bachelor's degree (or expected) in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or related fields.

The research assistant will independently conduct research and publish research papers.

Competitive salary, pre-tax 6,000-10,000 RMB/M, which may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications.
