Wang grew up in Wuhan, Hubei, where Wuhan University is located. He spent most of his childhood on the university campus, which sparked his interest in science. After taking the College Entrance Exam, Wang was admitted to the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences (CCMS) at WHU, where he studied chemistry for a year. Although he has not completed his undergraduate courses, he became fascinated by organic chemistry due to its unique experimental nature. Driven by a desire to explore the mysteries of matter and synthesize new substances, Wang joined Prof. Zhou's research group in the summer of 2023. He is currently learning the basics of organic synthesis under Ph.D. student Zequan Liu. Wang hopes to fulfill his dream through hard work one day.
