She majored in Biotechnology and graduated from Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan in September 2021. After serving for 2 years as research associate in University of Agriculture Faisalabd, she joined School of Chemical Engineering as postdoctoral fellow in May 2024. Her research focuses on modulating renewable resources (microalgae, cyanobacteria, microbes, and lignocellulosic biomass) in response to environmental stresses to address different challenges associated with Environment-Water-Energy nexus. She mainly engages in identifying related metabolic pathways and developing sustainable bioprocesses for food, feed, bioenergy, and wastewater treatment applications. Till date, she published >30 articles, including 10 book chapters and 8 articles as first/corresponding author in SCI journals like Energy Conversion and Management, Bioresource Technology, Fuel, Current Pollution Report, Energy Nexus, Science of the Total Environment etc (IF:160, h-index:15). She won “Indigenous 5000 PhD Fellowship” from HEC-Pakistan (2017-2020) and participated in 2 national-level research project as major researcher. She is selected as executive “Young Scientists” member of Asian Federation of Biotechnology-Pakistan Chapter. She is currently serving as reviewer of many international journals of PLOS, Frontiers, and Elesvier groups.
