The development and organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) applications of near‐infrared emitting materials based on phosphorescent metal complexes and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials are summarized by Wai‐Yeung Wong, Weiguo Zhu and co‐workers in their Hall of Fame review (article number 1800466). These materials can make use of the triplet excitons. The cover image shows the near‐infrared emitted light from a device which exploits both singlet and triplet excitons.
