Changing faces: Owing to the amphiphilic nature of enzymatically assembled DNAzyme–surfactants, they can first enable cellular uptake and can then, after enzyme‐triggered disassembly, traverse lipid bilayers and gain access to the mRNA within the cell's cytosol. Cleavage of the mRNA target by the DNAzyme–surfactant results in sequence‐specific gene knockdown without the need for external transfection agents.
