To the Editor In a Research Letter published in a recent issue of JAMA Internal Medicine, Coronel et al¹ present an elegant quality improvement study to decrease the inappropriate use of proton pump inhibitor (PPI) infusions.¹ Infusions were considered appropriate in patients with suspected upper gastrointestinal bleeding before endoscopy and in patients with ulcerated lesions with high-risk features on endoscopy.
