We have read with great interest the superb review by Trachtemberg and Hare¹ on inflammatory cardiomyopathies. Among other interesting scientific points, in that article, the authors summarize the knowledge about chronic Chagas disease, a disease caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi.
