Structure-reactivity relationships in fluid catalytic cracking particles were studied using an integrated combination of single-molecule fluorescence microscopy and transmission electron microscopy to give correlated high-resolution information. The results show that the active zeolites can be clearly identified. Zeolite domains, seemingly identical in structure, show differences in reactivity.
