Comment on “Carbon structure in nanodiamonds elucidated from Raman spectroscopy” by V.I. Korepanov et al.

Abstract In the recent study, V.I. Korepanov et al. [1] reported on Raman spectroscopy study of the structure of nanodiamonds. They claimed that the Raman spectroscopy provides unique quantitative tool for nanodiamond characterization and determination of the relative content of carbon atoms belonging to the diamond core, disordered shell and graphene-like phases. There are several issues in this research that we must comment on.
