Flexible and efficient cathode: Flower-like cuprous tetracyanoquinodimethane (CuTCNQ) nanorods in situ anchored on a flexible carbon matrix are prepared by combining the routes of electrospinning and solution reaction. As flexible sodium-ion battery cathode, they exhibit a high specific capacity of 252 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C, high average voltage of 3.2 V and long-term cyclability of 1200 cycles.
