The cover feature shows a 1,1‐diarylethylene scaffold, which is found in numerous bioactive compounds, such as isoCA‐4 and bexarotene. This article summarizes the principal methodological studies concerning the synthesis of 1,1‐diarylethylene compounds using metal catalysis, mainly focusing on palladium, nickel, copper, iron and gold catalyzed processes.
